# David Wiles, MD

> David A. Wiles, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon in Chattanooga, Tennessee, specializing in minimally invasive surgery to provide personalized care since 1997.

David Wiles, MD, a native of the Tri-Cities, earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine after attending Auburn University. He completed his general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, and is board-certified in neurosurgery. He also trained under renowned spine surgeons Kevin Foley, MD, Maurice Smith, MD, and Peter Klara, MD.

Upon returning to the Tri-Cities, Dr. Wiles established the East Tennessee Brain and Spine Center to offer advanced neurosurgical care. He has been actively involved in developing spinal surgical techniques and devices, served as Director of the Neuroscience Department for a system encompassing 20 hospitals, and participated in investigational studies with the FDA. Dr. Wiles has spoken at international meetings and served on the Evaluation Committee for ARGOS.

Currently, Dr. Wiles is a faculty member at teaching conferences across the United States, training spine surgeons and orthopedic and neurosurgical residents. He is affiliated with multiple professional organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. He practices in Chattanooga, TN, where he resides with his wife.
